Blossom Pendant Workshop at Distill!

Join us Saturday July 25th from 2pm to 4pm at Distill Gallery, in the Distillery District (55 Mill Street, #47, Toronto), for a free Blossom Pendant Workshop. At this workshop we'll be exploring creative ways to dress up your Blossom Pendant with fresh flowers, organic matter and crafty scraps. Our previous workshop was a great success and we're certain this one will be even bigger. The Blossom Pendant was originally designed by Izik Levy for The Blooming Show at Distill Gallery several years ago. Meet the designer in person, bring along your Blossom Pendant or pick one up while you visit. This is a fun social workshop and completely free to join in - bring your friends! Arrive early to secure your spot around the Blossom Pendant workshop table, first come first serve.

Free Floral Fashion Workshop

Join us at Eco Stems in Toronto on Saturday May 23^rd from 1 pm to 3 pm for a crafty and social workshop as we explore creative new ways to dress up your Blossom Pendant. If you don’t already have a Blossom Pendant, they are also available at Eco Stems. We’ll be experimenting with an assortment of fresh blooms, sprouts and many surprising materials. Bring your friends for an hour or two of fun and fresh creative inspiration. All materials and tools will be provided; there is no charge for this workshop. Eco Stems is located at 267 Queen St. East in Toronto, Canada.

New Blossom Pendant Images

I was walking back to Rockettoro Studio the other day and noticed these beautiful little blue flowers growing by the side of a busy street in downtown Toronto. I stopped after a few steps, turned back and picked a few - there was something so subtle about them; I just had to see what they'd look like inside a Blossom Pendant. Here a the resulting images from the photoshoot. Just another reminder that inspiration can strike at any moment, always carry your Blossom Pendant with you.

New Eve's Apple Images

Eve's apple is one of my favorite pieces to make. I love using this "striking" glass color. Red glass starts off fairly clear and dull, but once I heat it up to the right temperature it glows a brilliant red - strikes - and darkens to the deep red that you see in these apples. This is also the same type of glass that I use to add the little light bulbs to the heads of Junior and Robot. I think this tone of red really pops when contrasted with the emerald green leaves resting on the top of the apples. I've often been asked if I can make these apples smaller, the answer is yes, just e-mail before ordering and I'll be glad to customize.
